Halloween at Kew 2026: New Light Trail Dates and Ticket Details: what residents need to know

The Palm House at Kew Gardens illuminated with magical lights at night.

Kew Gardens transforms into an immersive, after-dark light trail this autumn, with the return of the annual Halloween at Kew event. Running from 16 October through 1 November 2026, the UNESCO World Heritage site offers a 1.5 km illuminated route designed for families and thrill-seekers alike. The event is organised by the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, in partnership with RG Live, Sony Music, and Culture Creative.

A New Route Through the Gardens

This year’s trail introduces several new installations alongside returning favourites. Visitors can expect to navigate through the eerie Dracula’s Lair, a dark Medieval Dungeon, the Cursed Tomb, and a mysterious Forest Ritual. The route is populated by live actors and fire performers, with the Headless Horseman making a return to haunt the gardens. For those seeking a high-energy finale, the new Monster Disco features giant skull-shaped mirror balls and a dedicated Dance Master to lead the festivities.
