Choose Victorious Festival for music, food and comedy
Victorious Festival takes over Southsea seafront from 28 to 30 August. Richard Ashcroft, The Black Keys and Kasabian lead the announced music programme, with Scissor Sisters, Bastille, The Streets, Faithless, Nile Rodgers & CHIC, Basement Jaxx and Jessie J also named.
The event extends beyond its stages with street food, comedy and a dedicated kids arena. That mix makes it the clearest option for groups whose interests stretch beyond live music, as well as families looking for activities within the festival site.
Pick Zoofest for an all-month family option

Fort Nelson’s holiday programme runs until 6 September, with a junior assault course, ramparts, tunnels and its artillery collection. Hurst Castle offers two summer trails plus Tudor Tuesdays, Wildlife Wednesdays and Throwback Thursdays until 31 August, with the activities included in castle admission.
National Trust Summer of Play events continue at The Vyne until 13 September, Mottisfont until 6 September and Hinton Ampner until 6 September. Their respective themes include garden challenges, seven play zones with a Pokémon area, and pirate adventures.
