Redbridge investment pitch puts Ilford growth in focus

Redbridge Council has used UKREiiF 2026 to promote its regeneration and investment plans, with Ilford and opportunities linked to the Elizabeth Line placed at the centre of its pitch to developers and investors.

The council said it attended the UK Real Estate Investment & Infrastructure Forum to build relationships with development partners, promote the Invest Redbridge Prospectus and present the borough as a place for long-term investment.

Ilford and Elizabeth Line sites lead the pitch

Redbridge’s delegation included chief executive Claire Hamilton, executive director of place, communities and enterprise Steve Moore, and senior regeneration officers.

The council said the event was used to showcase regeneration opportunities in Ilford and along the Elizabeth Line route through the borough. The line has strengthened transport links across east London, making town centre and station-linked development sites a larger part of Redbridge’s investment case.

Council leader Kam Rai said Redbridge was one of London’s remaining areas for large-scale investment as the capital continues to grow eastwards. He said the borough was “open for business” and wanted to work with investors to deliver homes, jobs and opportunities.

Investor talks move to follow-up stage

The council said it will now hold follow-up meetings with developers, investors and strategic partners after conversations at UKREiiF. It will also use feedback from the event to refine how it presents the borough’s investment offer.

The work sits alongside wider borough priorities, including housing, roads and local transformation plans set out by the council’s new leadership team. Beehive Web has previously covered the Redbridge housing and road focus under the 2026 cabinet arrangements.

A further milestone is planned for October 2026, when the Redbridge Investor Forum is expected to bring senior figures from the development and investment sectors together to review the borough’s regeneration pipeline.
