Southall drop-in on 30 June lets locals shape plan

The Southall Economic Vision Drop-in Event will give local people a direct way to comment on a 10-year plan for the town. The free consultation drop-in takes place at the Dominion Centre, The Green, Southall, on Tuesday 30 June, from 3pm to 6pm.

The event is open to people who live, work, study, shop or spend time in Southall. No booking is required, and staff from the Ealing Council regeneration, investment and jobs team will be there to answer questions and help people complete the survey.

The council says feedback will be used to shape proposals that support local businesses, improve public spaces and make the area more welcoming.

What residents can comment on

The consultation asks people what they like about Southall and what they would like to see change in the future. It is focused on how the town should develop over the next decade, rather than on a single building or one short-term project.

The Southall Economic Vision Drop-in Event is intended to help people who want to speak to council staff in person, ask questions or get support with the online survey. The survey itself takes about 10 minutes to complete.

Ealing Council has said it wants views from a broad range of people, including residents, local businesses and communities. Councillor Monica Hamidi, cabinet member for good growth, said local people should help shape Southall’s future so the plan reflects the needs of residents, businesses and communities.

The survey stays open after the event

Anyone who cannot attend the consultation drop-in can still take part online. The survey is open until 11:59pm on 5 July 2026 and is available in several languages, including Punjabi, Polish, Somali, Ukrainian, Tamil and Urdu.

The in-person session is also there for people who need help completing the survey. Council staff will be at the Dominion Centre during the three-hour window to answer questions and support residents through the process.

How to take part

People can attend the free drop-in at the Dominion Centre on Tuesday 30 June between 3pm and 6pm. The venue is on The Green in Southall.

Questions about the consultation, requests for more information, or help with completing the survey can be sent to [email protected].
