Wrexham families can spend Saturday, 1 August at a new children’s music festival in the city centre. Kidsfest runs from 12pm to 7pm at Llwyn Isaf, with gates opening at 11.30am and entry by donation to Nightingale House Hospice.

Designed for children and families during the summer holidays, the event combines live performances with crafts, movement sessions, street food and drop-in entertainment. The confirmed arrangements were published by Wrexham Council News.

Llwyn Isaf becomes a children’s festival site

Kidsfest will spread across three parts of Llwyn Isaf: The Stage, The Tent and activities around the green. This gives families a choice between scheduled performances and attractions they can visit during the day.

Wrexham County Borough Council is organising the festival in collaboration with Nightingale House Hospice, with sponsorship from Read Construction. The event also supports Wrecsam2029, Wrexham’s bid to become UK City of Culture 2029, where play and playfulness are among the themes.

Cllr Nigel Williams, the council’s Lead Member for Business, Economy and Tourism, described Kidsfest as a low-cost city-centre option during a school-holiday period that can be busy and expensive for families. Elise Jackson, Event, Campaigns and Community Fundraising Manager at Nightingale House Hospice, said the event would bring families together while raising awareness of the hospice’s work across the region.

Live music, a foam party and K-pop on The Stage

The main programme begins at noon and continues through to the final scheduled performance at 6pm.

Time The Stage
12pm Happy Hour
1pm Pop Tribute Act
2pm Greatest Game Show
3pm Taylor Swift Tribute
4pm Foam Party
5pm TikTok Dance Party
6pm K-pop Demon Hunters

The afternoon programme moves from music and game-show entertainment into the foam party, TikTok dancing and a K-pop-themed finale.
