Bolton’s Remembrance concert: date, venue and £10 tickets

A live orchestral concert performance on stage with dramatic blue lighting and stage effects.

Bolton’s annual Concert of Remembrance takes place at the Albert Halls on Thursday 5 November 2026. Tickets cost £10, and the event is open to the general public. All proceeds go to Bolton’s Cadet Forces, so attending offers a way to take part in the borough’s remembrance programme while supporting its cadets.

The evening brings together music and dance performances with an Act of Remembrance for those who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present. It is the first event in Bolton’s November commemorations, ahead of civic services for Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day.

What to expect at the Albert Halls

The programme features the Shree Mukta Jeevan Swamibapa Pipe Band, Theatre Dance Studios, Phoenix Knights of Harmony, the Lancashire Artillery Military Band, and the Pipes and Drums of the 103rd Regiment. The mix of bands and dance performers gives the concert several contributions to its tribute, alongside a dedicated moment for reflection.

The Act of Remembrance will be led by the Vicar of Bolton, the Reverend Hannah Lane. The council describes the concert as a tribute to people who have served and sacrificed in conflicts past and present.

Bolton’s November remembrance programme

The concert opens a sequence of public commemorations. On Sunday 8 November, a civic service for Remembrance Sunday will be held in Victoria Square, beginning at 10.57am. A two-minute silence follows at 11am, with the 216 Royal Artillery providing live gunfire to mark its beginning and end.

Bolton will observe Armistice Day on Wednesday 11 November with a civic service at 11am on the steps of Bolton Town Hall. Led by Reverend Hannah Lane, it will include prayers and a two-minute silence marked by the firing of maroons. These are separate events from the ticketed concert, with their own locations and timings.

The Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal is also raising funds to support serving and former members of the Armed Forces and their families. Bolton Council encourages residents to support the appeal by purchasing and wearing a poppy.
