Free Blackpool Illuminations Watch Party on 4 September
A big screen inside Blackpool Tower Ballroom will carry the Illuminations Switch-On concert live on Friday 4 September 2026. The first Blackpool Illuminations Switch-On Watch Party is free, open to the general public with a ticket and aimed particularly at residents and visitors who missed out on places in the main arena ballot.

This is the first dedicated Watch Party in the event’s history. Rather than hosting a separate concert, the Ballroom will show the action unfolding live at the arena, keeping the audience connected to the same programme and Switch-On moment.

Free tickets are available on a first-come basis

Blackpool Tourism Limited is organising the event. Managing director Kate Shane MBE said the Watch Party was created to let hundreds more people experience the concert after demand for the main arena exceeded the available allocation.
