Parade and main stage anchor the day

The celebrations will include a Pride parade through Market Square, ending at the heart of the event before the stage opening.

West Northamptonshire Council said the festival is organised by the Northampton Pride Committee and will bring together residents and visitors in support of the LGBTQ+ community across West Northamptonshire.

On the main stage, the line-up will be headlined by Late Night Talking, a Harry Styles tribute act. The programme will be hosted by Miss Alexis and will also include Miss Cara-mel Latte, TEENA and That Joe Payne.

Local performance groups are also part of the bill. Theatre Front of House, made up of Royal & Derngate’s Front of House team, and Northampton Musical Theatre Company will both appear during the day.

Stalls, services and activities in Market Square

Away from the stage, visitors will find community groups, local organisations and independent businesses around Market Square.

Confirmed stallholders and organisations include the University of Northampton, The Lowdown, SpacePony Facepainting, FigHous, The Creative Cupcake Company and Proud Cobblers. Pride-themed merchandise will also be available to buy.

The event will also feature an emergency services area, including a fire engine display, alongside the popular Sno Van.

First aid on the day will be provided by St John Ambulance. NLive Radio is returning as the official media partner.

Organisers expect a community-focused return

Nick Allen, chair of the Northampton Pride Committee, said the event is designed as a welcoming space for people to come together, celebrate and connect.

He said organisers were grateful to the partners, sponsors and volunteers who help make Pride possible each year.

Cllr Charlie Hastie, Deputy Leader of West Northamptonshire Council and Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities, said Northampton Pride gives residents and visitors a chance to show support for the LGBTQ+ community.

The event is supported by Northampton Town Council, Northampton BID, UNISON, Michael Jones Jewellers, Buzz Bingo and Tesco through Horlock House, with fundraising support from the Northants Lesbian Society.

What to check before going

The key confirmed details are the date, the Market Square location and the free public entry. The missing detail is the start time.

Organisers said further details, including event timings and additional activities, will be shared soon through the council’s social media pages.
