Focus on the West End and infrastructure

The majority of the funding is earmarked for Oxford’s West End, a core strategic opportunity area. Housing Delivery: Accelerating the development of new homes, with a specific emphasis on social rent properties.

Developing sustainable growth models

This funding follows the interim report published by the Oxford Growth Commission in December 2025, which outlined over 40 recommendations for the city. By establishing a robust evidence base, the council aims to secure further long-term funding streams and create viable proposals that align with government investment criteria.
