Free sessions across Milton Keynes from June to November
The Great Get Together has been organised by the My Neighbourhoods Group, made up of council tenants and Milton Keynes City Council, as a way to bring residents together and make local services easier to reach.
The council says the events are designed for residents who want to find out more about support in their area, raise issues that matter to them, or get involved in improving their neighbourhood. Refreshments and community activities are also part of the programme.

What residents can do on the day
Each Great Get Together event is intended to be a drop-in style community gathering, with practical contact as well as social activity. Residents can speak to council teams and partner organisations about local issues, including housing advice, and can ask how to take part in work to improve their neighbourhood.
Cllr Ed Hume, Cabinet Member for Housing, said the events are about strengthening the connection between residents and the council. He said strong communities are built when people feel heard, supported and involved in local decisions.
“These events give residents a real opportunity to share their views, access support and play a direct role in shaping the future of their neighbourhoods,” he said.
Cost, entry and who should attend
The events are free and open to everyone in Milton Keynes. No booking requirement was listed in the council notice.
The series is aimed at residents who want to meet neighbours, find out about local services, get housing advice, or learn how to become more involved in their area. Events are being held at various community centres and local venues across the city, with afternoon and late-afternoon sessions scheduled through to Friday 27 November.
