Reading students receiving A-level, T-level, BTEC and other Level 3 results on 13 August can access free local careers guidance if their plans have changed or they need help choosing a next step.

Reading Borough Council says its Elevate careers service is available for young people seeking advice on education, training or employment. The support is intended for anyone who wants to discuss options after results day, whether they are pleased with their grades or considering an alternative route.

Results arrive for A-level, T-level and BTEC students

Students across Reading are collecting A-level results this morning, alongside AS-level, T-level, BTEC and other Level 3 vocational qualifications.

For many, the day will confirm a move into further study, training or work. For others, it may mean taking time to reassess. Reading Borough Council said Elevate can offer guidance on progression into education, training and employment, giving young people a local point of contact if they are uncertain about their options.

Cllr Rachel Eden, the council’s Lead Councillor for Education and Public Health, congratulated students and thanked families, carers and education settings for their support.

She said young people should be proud of the work they put in and encouraged anyone wanting additional help to contact the careers team.
