Paisley appeal after off-road bike rider suffers serious injuries
Police Scotland is appealing for information after a collision in Paisley left a 19-year-old off-road bike rider with life-threatening injuries.
The crash happened at about 9.45pm on Saturday, 12 September, at the junction of Foxbar Road and Gleniffer Road. It involved a grey Vauxhall Corsa and an orange off-road bike.
Emergency services attended and the bike rider was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Police said his condition was serious. The 22-year-old woman driving the Corsa was also taken to hospital for checks.
Collision at Foxbar Road and Gleniffer Road
Road policing officers are investigating the circumstances of the collision at the Foxbar Road and Gleniffer Road junction. Police have not released further information about how the vehicles came into contact.
The appeal remains active as officers seek to establish the full circumstances. Anyone who was in the area around the time may be able to assist, including people who did not see the collision itself but noticed either vehicle beforehand or afterwards.
Police seek rider of another orange off-road bike
Sergeant Scott Gourlay said officers are particularly keen to trace the rider of another orange off-road bike who was present when the crash occurred. Police believe that person may have information that could assist the investigation.

Police are also asking drivers who were travelling nearby at about 9.45pm to check any dash-cam footage. Footage recorded before or after the collision could still help officers identify what happened and the movements of those involved.
