White Volkswagen driver sought after Dunmaglass crash

Police are seeking witnesses after a 74-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a crash involving a Rewaco trike on the B851 near Dunmaglass.
The collision happened south of Loch Ness at about 3pm on Saturday, 1 August 2026. Police Scotland is particularly keen to trace the driver of a white Volkswagen Golf or Polo seen on the road around that time.

Emergency services attended after the Rewaco trike crashed near Dunmaglass. Its 74-year-old male driver was taken to hospital, where Police Scotland said he was being treated for serious injuries.
The passenger travelling on the trike was uninjured. Police have not released further information about the injured man or identified the hospital treating him.

Officers are also trying to identify the driver of a white Volkswagen described as either a Golf or a Polo. The vehicle was seen on the road around the time of the crash, but the appeal does not state that it was involved in the collision.
